Location:www.readplease.com;http://www.download.com/ReadPlease-2003/3000-7239_4-10137511.html
Reviews:Editor’s review at download.com
Whilewe applaud this text-to-speech application for being freeware, it hastoo many shortcomings to put it on a recommended list. ReadPlease2003 uses Microsoft speech engines to read text you choose. Yet to doso, you must cut and paste a body of text into the program's mainwindow, a step we found cumbersome. Customization features are verylimited. You can choose only from four voices, and there is no optionto adjust voice pitch, speed, or even pronunciation. Another handyfeature we would like to see is the option to skip ahead in textwhile reading. And ReadPlease 2003 isn't able to record files forlater listening, either. Overall, despite its freeware status,ReadPlease 2003 doesn't stand up to similar available readerprograms.

Reviews:'I'vebeen using BioTutor®, and it really helps. It's pulled up mygrade from a B to an A. I think it helped because it gave me a goodidea of questions that could be on the test. The only reason I wasgetting a B before was because I didn't have very good test scores. However, on my most recent test (on Genetics) I got a 37 out of 35points (including a 2 point extra credit question) because I hadreviewed that chapter in BioTutor®. Thanks! It's reallyhelpful!'
